Years passed before the Dark Side would tempt him. There was no stopping him once he had taken the first sip of the power that he could control then. Wreaking havoc across the galaxy, he was seen with some of the most feared villains. Using his extreme knowledge of most being's "make-up" he could crush them within seconds. As this time of his life went on, he had left a woman at home, who unbeknownst to him, bore him a child, Lucifer…who was taken away…immediately…he was told she miscarriaged…and there was never another word of it.
After hearing the news of his befallen wife he came home, and in a odd manner, still not totally known how she charmed him back to the Light Side…months she helped him…and then another child was brought into the galaxy…Christopher Dravin. His mother died in the childbirth of him, which put a great weight upon Russo's heart and mind.
Raising his young son, in the ways of the Force, he was extremely glad to see his son was going to be a great solider some day. Then without a chance he was dead…no explanation…nothing. He had been shot in the back…a fool, perhaps a hired gun…but it mattered not he was more powerful now than anyone could imagine.
As time went on, and his restless spirit roamed the cosmos, he managed to aide member of his lineage, whom he'd never meet in the flesh. He had won his own battle in the end, and would continue to be a guiding light in many of his successors adventures.
